University of NSW Gate 9 ‘Arrival Project’ has seen the existing 1960’s Sir John Clancy Auditorium with its brutalist architecture of off-form concrete, undergo a revitalisation complemented with a modern and bold statement of imposing 10m high glass camouflaged by a glistening gold soffit. Supported by multi-laminated full height glass fins which structurally talk to a 23 m wide cantilevered awning – we give the graduates of tomorrow a dramatic entry to those drama filled university years.
